Normal opening is Wednesday–Sunday 10:00–16:00, with no booking needed for ordinary visits. The published repair notice restricts entry to the windmill building; plan around the science centre and garden while work continues. Check current news before travelling.

Facilities: Science centre and toilets are wheelchair accessible. Steps lead from the car park; call ahead to arrange accessible parking in the mill yard. The closed mill building is not part of the current accessible visit.
